Apologies for being MIA for the last few weeks. I haven’t been very inspired and needed some time off over Christmas. But I’m back! I have also been working hard in the background getting my new website up and running. can I just tell you, that is not for the faint hearted if you are a little out of the technological loop like me… So Happy New Year, Merry Christmas and lets get started!
Can you believe that I had never tried any blushes from Too Faced? I thought this would be a good way to test out some of colours they have on offer from their collection, without both the price tag and the size of these are perfect because I can’t remember the last time I hit pan on a blush. I do find though, that as they are small and placed quite close together I have to use a small blush brush to make sure I don’t pick up the colour next door.
The packaging is very thin and compact, but if travelling I would put an elastic band or hair tie round so it doesn’t fling open as there is no magnet or clasp to secure it closed.
You get 6 colours in total, which come from the initial collection. Love Hangover, Baby Love, I Will Always Love You, How Deep Is Your Love, Justify My Love and Your Love is King. The first 3 are warm toned and you get a subtle pink, a muted pink with a subtle gold shimmer running through it and a shimmery coral which gives a beautiful natural glow to the cheeks.
The last 3 are more cool under-toned with the same kind of colours. A coral, a really nice blue toned pink and a pink/plum colour that is quite muted so is still totally wearable. I believe I have warm undertones and have swatched below for reference.
I have gotten a fair amount of usage out of this palette, because it has such an array of colours. I would like it just a little more, if it had one of those bronzer colour blushes though. The one that you apply just below your cheekbone to give you an effortless dimension to your face. But we can’t have everything now can we?…
I don’t believe they stay for the 16 hours as they claim too, but do fair pretty well for around 8 or so hours. I wouldn’t expect any product to exceed that really. They are quite a hard texture, but don’t let that put you off as they still have an amazing blend ability. I thought this was just a Christmas limited edition, but does still seem to be available from the Too Faced website here for £27. In this palette you get a total weight of 12g (2g each) for £27 as apposed to the individual full sized blushes which are 6g each for £19. So even if you bought 3 of the palettes you would still be better of than if you were to buy 6 of the individual ones.
Would I recommend this palette? Yes, I would. They have provided a good selection of colours and the product itself is really nice. Have you tried any of the Too Faced Love Flush blushes? Let me know in the comments or via twitter.
Thank you for reading lovelies.
