Nowadays, pretty much everyone who loves makeup has dipped their toes into the world of contouring. I have tried lots of different products, ranging from cream to powder and everything in between. There isn’t one product that I favour over others, so I am always on the hunt for the easiest way to achieve cheekbones.
Collection are the makers of the highly acclaimed concealer, used and loved my thousands of people. Pharmacy brands are usually not great when it comes to contouring products and can be way too orange to create a natural looking shadow. However, if you have an yellow undertone, it’s a lot easier to get away with a warm toned product.
This product is currently available in the shades light, medium and dark. In my opinion, the light one is also the only one that is cool toned. Priced at £3.99, it’s a bargain if it works as well as I’m hoping. The packaging reminds me of Clinique chubby sticks. The silver end of the pen twists up to reveal more product, meaning you don’t need a sharpener. Perfect for on the go.
I have found the best way of using this is to apply it after your foundation, but before any powder products. I apply a generous amount under my cheekbones and my temples, then blend with my fingers. Using a beauty blender to get a flawless finish. Because this shade is so light, it can sometimes get lost if blended out too much. After applying setting powder, I always go in with a powder contour on top regardless, so that doesn’t bother me. As the tip of the pen has a nice point to it, it’s perfect for carving out the shape of your nose without any problems. I suppose we will have to see if thats still the case once it’s been used and not sharpened.
If your new to contouring or are looking for the perfect cool toned product. Look no further. This has been a game changer for me. It’s super easy to use, fast and compact to carry around. The Collection contour sticks are available here for 3.99. As always, keep an eye out for 3 for 2 offers. Happy contouring!
