Christmas Lifestyle

Happy new year you beautiful lot! I hope you all celebrated in style – whether that be on a night out with your faves or that luxury face mask and spenny candle you’ve been saving for a special occasion. As I get older, I feel that Christmas becomes more important to me than bringing in the new year with tequila shots and heels. Maybe my priority’s have just changed and I value my sleep a lot more than I used to. However you spent it, I hope it was memorable.

This year has been a great one for me. I qualified as a Makeup Artist in December – a pretty big deal if you know me at all. So one of my goals for next year is to practice and make myself more confident with my skills. Maybe set up a business?…. who knows.

My little blog turned 1 this year and considering I nearly never started it, I feel pretty accomplished. The past few weeks have left me a little uninspired when it came to content and rather than writing some half-arsed rubbish, I actually took a proper break. It was long overdue and I feel as if I have recharged my batteries on the blogging front. It’s easy to get stuck in a ┬árut with regards to the content you produce. This year, I want to put a little more something different into my blog. I’m not talking completely original, as in the blogosphere thats a hard feat these days. I mean something that I want to write about instead of feeling the need to write about something just because other people are doing it.

Instagram is one of the main things I would like to focus on this year too. For me, this is one of the hardest things ti keep updated. As I don’t go out very much, I have to make sure I have a photo backup for me to be able to post a few times a week. I need to get on this ASAP.

But to be able to achieve these things, I need to get more organised. I started a bullet journal last year and pretty much stuck to it throughout the year, adding and taking away things in it as I went. For Christmas I received a shiny new Bando diary to make my plans in. So with any luck, my organisational game might be on the up.

As for my other life, I have a few personal goals I would like to meet this year. I want to meet more like minded people. There were a few blogger events I missed out on last year and I want to attend at least 75% of the ones on offer. I’ll keep you updated on that front.

Last but not least, I want to spend more time with my family. I should know better, especially with what happened to me. Life is short and you have no idea whats around the corner. My family were a very important part of my life growing up and I don’t want to loose that just because life gets in the way.

These are not necessarily new years resolutions, but more of a post for me to look back on and see how I feel this time next year. I appreciate everyone who looks at my posts and takes the time to read them. If you ever have any suggestions or would like to contact me, please do. I’d love to talk to you and get to know some of you. Maybe it’s time for a little rebranding….Here’s to 2017.
