Firstly I would like to thank Royal Mail for the state of the box. Don’t they know I needed to photograph it?? Anyway, obviously thats not what I wanted to write about today. As you can see from the title, the long awaited Kat Von D is launching exclusively in Debenhams around October. As far as I’m aware, the products will be available online and then will be phased into stores over the coming months.
I spotted this online last week and popped it straight in my basket. For £19.50 you get 3 large sample sizes. Which is kind of a rip off but also great for trying new products.. So lets talk about them individually. I have only every tried Kat Von D powder products, so was excited to give these a go.
Tattoo Liner – Trooper
Let me introduce you to the smallest liquid liner I have ever tried to use. You get a meager 0.2ml in this teeny tiny tube. The nib is really nice. It’s got a bit of give in it and a good flow of ink that goes right to the tip. It’s by far the easiest liner I have ever used, but definitely not the blackest. It looks really watery, which isn’t something I expected from this as it’s so highly rated. I think people like it as it’s so easy to use. Would I repurchase? Probably not. But it’s good for if I’m running late.
Studded Kiss Lipstick – Lolita
The infamous Lolita. But in lipstick form. I have worn this twice so far and it’s nice. I can’t say that I’m overly impressed by the formula, but the packaging is really different. Lolita is a lot darker than I thought it would be. But I wonder if thats because it’s in lipstick form instead of in the liquid lipstick. The finish is extremely matte, which is great if thats what your into and does last quite well on the lips. I only had to reapply after I’d eaten. These retail for $21 in the States, so I would expect them to be around the £18 mark. Not too bad and will be comparable to Urban Decay. The size of this product is actually 1.2g.
Everlasting Liquid Lipstick – Double Dare
I think the Liquid Lipsticks are the thing everyone will go crazy for when they first arrive in October. This one is really cute. I imagine the applicator will be the same size as it is in the larger version. At least I hope it is, because this works really nicely for me. I also really like the colour. It’s a very flattering pink/teracotta which will work well on most skin tones. I suppose it’s always hard for a brand to choose which colours go into their sample sets, as you can’t always please everybody. I will definitely be checking these out when they hit old Blighty. The formula is similar to the Balm Liquid Lipsticks, but as Kat released hers first, I can see why they have done so well. A full size retails for $20 across the pond, so we will be looking at around £16.
The Kat Von D London Calling Collection is available exclusively at Debenhams. They are still in stock at time of writing, so hopefully you will be able to get your hands on it. I hope you found this helpful and if you did, please subscribe on Bloglovin to see new posts.
