I’ve recently fallen back in love with my Z Palette and all my single shadows that I own. Slowly but surely I have been adding to it and making it something that I will get the most use out of. I only got my first ever Z Palette for christmas last year and a few shadows as presents – the rest I bought myself. Although Z palettes are a really good idea, I personally feel that they’re really expensive for what they are and sometimes they look as though they haven’t been finished off properly. Unfortunately they are the only ones (after extensive research) I have found that have a clear lid and fit lots of shadows in. Aside from this, I think single shadows are the perfect way to make sure you select the colours your most likely to use instead of a ready made palette where you may only use ¾ of them.
This is what my palette looks like at the moment and I can’t honestly say that I’m completely happy with the colour selection in there right now, but as my collection grows I will be able to satisfy the OCD in me and colour organise them properly. As you can probably notice, I love the browns and specifically the warm ones as I feel they complement my blue eyes the best. Cool tones can make me look like I’ve been punched in the face (not a good look).
A t the moment I have 6 of the Makeup Geek foiled shadows; Daydreamer, Caitlin Rose, Pegasus, High Wire, Grandstand and Flame Thrower. All this means is that they have much more f a intense shimmery finish as apposed to their normal shadows. Otherwise I have a mix of matte and shimmer shades from Morphe Brushes and Makeup geek. I do also own a few Mac singles which I may do another post on as they aren’t in a Palette, I cheated a bit..
Although I do love the Morphe shadows I personally think that Makeup Geek are such amazing quality and start from £4.98 available via Beauty Bay and you can also get Morphe there too; their shade range is just a bit pants.
So without going into too much detail as this post would go on for days – this is my Zpalette (for now). If you would like to me do an in-depth post on a few of my favourite and how I like to wear them, let me know in the comments and I’ll get straight on it. I hope you enjoyed reading and found it interesting to see what I have. I know I do.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and Happy Summer!!
