Primark PS Makeup|Lip Liners

Primark is always a place I go to when I want something without any frills and they’ve really expanded in the last couple of years. They now stock other brands and have recently launched their own makeup line, so I thought it would be rude not to try at least one thing. I did a bit of research into their PS range and decided to give their PS Love lip liners a try as they’re only £1.00 each. I think they do 4 shades in total, which consist of a light pink, dark pink, red and a bright pink. Some people like to have a matching lip liner for every colour they wear, but this isn’t something that bothers me. I tend to find one I like and then stick it under all the lipstick products within a certain range to see what effect it gives.

It says you get 1.6g of product in each liner, so not a huge amount compared to the 5g you get in the nyx mechanical lip pencil which retails for £5.50. So if you think about it, the price is kind of relative to what your budget is. You can decide if they’re worth it at the end of this post.

The packaging is nothing special and these would need to be sharpened as they don’t have a twist mechanism. The product inside is the shiz. It’s really soft, creamy and can be sharpened to a nice rounded point. They have a matte finish but can be blended out nicely when warmed up with your finger or when applied with the pencil. The shade names are absolute rubbish in my opinion. The two I have are both called pink and I wouldn’t describe them as that at all. The light Pink I would describe as a really beautiful peachy coral shade and the Dark Pink is more of a mauve or cool toned plum shade which is so popular right now and is the one I’ve been reaching for most.

I will definitely be checking out some more of their range as I’m so impressed with these two things I picked up. Let me know if there is anything in particular I should take a look at and I’ll let you know what I get.
